How to prevent and control Oily Skin ~ 6 tips that will change your life

Hello, Dollies
I really want to share a little bit about my skin problems and I am one of the people who are prone to oily skin most often. And I always notice that the problem on my face because the sebaceous glands, which produce oil, are larger and more concentrated all over my face skin.
Although hormones levels, stress and health issues can cause fluctuations in the amount of oil a person's skin produces, whether you are prone to oily, dry or normal skin is determined by genetics.
Since there is no way to prevent genetic predisposition, oily skin can not be prevented. However, there are things that you can do to control the oil. That is why I did some researches and shared with of some of the simple and affordable tips and tricks to control our oily skin problems.

Tips - 1
Wash your face twice a day to remove excess oil so it does not clog the pores
  • Choose a gentle face soap that cleans your face well without drying out your skin. Do not use a moisturizing soap that adds oils or moisturizers to your face.
  • Use warm water when washing your face.
  • Dry your face thoroughly with a soft towel after washing.
  • Stay away from harsh soaps or facial cleansers designed to dry out skin.
The purpose of washing the face is to physically remove oil and dead skin cells from our face and pores.

Tips - 2
Read product packaging and ingredients list and choose only water-based, non-comedogenic cosmetics.
  • Avoid oil-based cosmetics, which add oil to your face.
  • Wash all makeup off before going to bed. Makeup settles into pores and will clog them if it is not completely removed.
  • Never apply additional makeup without first removing the old.
  • Do not use cold creams or lotions for makeup removal if you have oily skin. These products are designed to moisturize dry skin and may leave a greasy film on the skin, contributing to clogged pores, oil buildup and acne.

Tips - 3
Make sure that you are eating the good diet for your skin.
  • Avoid oily, greasy foods and heated fats which aggravate oily skin conditions. Replace unhealthy fats in your diet with healthy fats found in foods like nuts, seeds, avocados, and lean poultry and other meats.
  • Eat natural foods and fresh fruits and vegetables as much as possible. Some vegetables known to be especially good for the skin include cucumbers, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables, among others.

Tips - 4
Use a deep cleaning facial mask as needed to remove excess oil from skin.
  • Use masks containing purifying ingredients, such as clay, as well as soothing ingredients like shea butter or honey is the best choice for absorbing oil without drying out skin.

Tips - 5
Do physical exercise, practice relaxation or meditation techniques, or find other ways to deal with stress.
  • The connection between stress and acne has been noticed by people for many years. Research has found that the body produces higher levels of androgens during times of high stress. This in turn stimulates the sebaceous glands, causing them to increase oil production.
  • Physical stress on the body can reach higher levels of androgens causing the same chain reaction on oil production. People with a genetic predisposition to oily skin may have increased symptoms during menstruation or when suffering from allergies, colds and other conditions.
  • Excess oil buildup on the skin during high stress times often causes acne outbreaks.

Tips - 6
Treat the acne with good acne medication if your attempts to control or prevent outbreaks are not successful.
  • Products that contain (benzoyl peroxide) help when fighting acne. Peroxide kills the bacteria that has built up on the skin and is contributes to acne.
  • Acne creams that contain resorcinol, sulfur or salicylic acids help to unclog pores. They are designed for use after acne blemishes appear on the skin, these medications are designed to help the sores heal.
